I think you are just having a hard time understanding how an actual human being could act like Trump, but it is in fact a clear case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Yes. I think kasich's office's comments yesterday are really revealing. I don't think Kasich publicly said it himself, but it shows the intention is to make the vp do all the work.

Ha ha just watched John Adams and loved the still-true comments about how useless VPs are. This would actually be quite revolutionary. But trump would still have veto, etc.
