Also cut-through traffic isn't that heavy since there are speed-bumps on the main roads like Dorset, and time-limited signs that disallow turning into Kenwood during rush hour. Then the main road in via River is in pretty bad shape and also covered in speed bumps -- not great for a cut-through.

That's why the Kenwood Park neighborhood down the road (River and Whittier) was created -- they had no such restrictions so Jewish people could move in there freely.

I don't think most of these posters actually live in Kenwood. If anything I've met more lawyers and business owners, few doctors. Very nice place to live with more families with kids moving in all the time. There is a very active neighborhood association that has many events for families and some for adults only. We've gotten to know our neighbors quickly and like the neighborhood. The lot sizes are nice and seem bigger than some similarly priced neighborhoods.

It isn't very diverse but there is some diversity and I think that trend will continue. I wouldn't necessarily say I think it is waspy - my family certainly isn't. I've found people to be welcoming and laid back. Probably a greater percentage send their kids to private school but there are many using the public schools.

You can easily walk to downtown Bethesda on the trail and the playground is close. Personally, I would avoid living directly on Dorset but that is probably the worst of the traffic.

The Kenwood Club and Kenwood the neighborhood are separate entities. Some Kenwood residents are probably members, but other residents are members of Chevy, Columbia, Congressional, etc.

Some of the edge of Kenwood border the Kenwood Club property, but that's about it.

Someone comparing Somerset which has loathe 10% original houses to Kenwood which is mostly original is strange in terms of construction. The vibes and lots are what separates the two that and you can still buy into Somerset in the low 1 mil range occasionally where that doesn't happen in Kenwood.
