I read a study several years back regarding out system compared to Europe. The BIGGEST difference cited was that other countries pay for pre-K, healthcare and provide food. Kids go to school ready to learn. You can't get shit out of republicans.
My child's school provide breakfast and lunch and companies provide food for weekend backpacks given to children who are food insecure. These same children were in Headstart and receive Medicaid. Not sure what I am missing here.
Bingo. There are all kinds of safety nets in place for those who need them. But, for some reason, it hasn’t made a big difference in the quality of education.
I think Donald Trump, Jr. is onto something.

more like ask Black America how poverty is working for them.
Well, let's see. I'm not poor and my DCPS school is working out great for me - asshole. We aren't all poor. How's meth working out for white people?
Then, pp wasn’t talking about you. Do you not understand that?

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:His speech was offensive, particularly the claim that US public education is like "Soviet-era department stores that existed for the benefit of clerks." Similarly, he said that public schools exist for the benefit of teachers. That's a grave misunderstanding of the hard work that American teachers put in, particularly as the party his father wants to run has cut public education dollars around the country.
Says the teacher during her eight weeks of paid vacation.

He is correct. The unions defend teachers who should not be defended when it comes to incompetence and sometimes even, neglect and abuse.
I have seen it. Horrible teachers who have no business working with students are “rescued” by the union.
It is very hard for districts to get rid of teachers who are harmful to students.
I agree with him on choice.

The cutest part is that this was plagiarized too.
No, it wasn’t. Do some research.
Well, it actually was.
And then apparent confirmation from Business Insider: Buckley worked as a speechwriter for Trump's effort. He told Vox that he was the principal speechwriter for Trump. Not plagiarism, then, but a re-purposing of language and ideas from the same author.

It was. He stole from Buckley. Granted, Buckley probably wrote the speech, but these remarks had been published previously in The American Conservative. I seriously think we are being punk'ed. There is no way this happens two nights in a row.
I guess Obama plagiarized his speech when the same thing happened in 2008, then.

They had the same message, and good intent. And Obama owned it. He didn't blame it on "My Little Pony."
So, they did the same thing, but only Don, Jr. is a plagiarist?
Your partisanship is showing.......
