It's not across the board. Lot's of kids can't get into Headstart. DC is great with food, but not all jurisdictions are. It's not universal so lots of kids fall through the cracks.

Hey now. I agree with Donald Jr’s speech. There is a lot of work to be done on the education front. And, unions are harmful to education, in my experience.
I, too, was a teacher. Many teachers DO work hard. Many are actually good at what they do. There are just too many that are incompetent at the job which they have been hired.
Teachers are NOT paid for the summer months. So, that is blatantly false.
And, many of them put in work during the summer for which they are not paid.
So, careful in your criticism.

And there are some TERRIBLE schools funded through choice. Teachers can be fired like anyone else. Principles just have to be diligent. Go to a state like NC with no teacher's union and see how that is working out.
