I'd rather not have that be a permanent situation and was planning on having one crate in the laundry room (one floor below the bedroom).
Is that not feasible?
My parents always had puppies sleep with them and then moved the puppy out when it was about 3-4 months old. Puppies are just really lonely sometimes and will cry themselves to sleep, so that's why they often sleep in the bedroom. As adults my parent's dogs sleep in their laundry room and they really feel like it's their bedroom. They go in there at night when it's time for bed even.
My dog has always slept in our bedroom and we like it. Doesn't sleep on the bed though.
