Yes, they can still be used. They have to be kept on longer and reapplied at 10 days. Most important is brush through which they haven't.

NFW. We've had lice- twice. It seems like it goes around all the first grade classrooms each year. It's horrible.

And if I was having the party, I would cancel/reschedule as a courtesy to all the other parents, so they didn't have to feel bad to rsvp NO.

I wouldn't. Sorry to those whose kids have had live. I know you feel stigmatized and I know live don't mean you're dirty. But we have been blessed to avoid them despite two infestations at DD's school. She has long, thick hair and I don't want to have to comb RID through it. The required nightly lice checks during those two infestations were bad enough. And I can't afford the Lice Ladies.

I guess you don't know anyone who has had lice. It can stay for weeks, requiring multiple chemical shampoos, house cleanings, calls to the Lice Lady etc. Not worth it for a sleepover.



NP. Here. We have had it, all of 3 of us. And it didn't require most of that. One computer from Lice Happens then daily combing for a week. Every other day or two for two weeks. Lice were gone. And we were INFESTED.

Nope. I don't have time to be inconvenienced with lice removal. Major PIA. Packing up stuffed animals, constant hot wash and combing hair. Constant yuck feeling.
