I have this problem and so does my daughter. It sucks!!!!

I have tried a number of brands and believe I am allergic to the adhesive - the itchiness is not in the vaginal area but in the front where the edge of the liner makes contact (and moves) and sometimes in the anal area. The sides never seem to be a problem. Without a liner I am so uncomfortable with damp discharge all day. Has anyone else ever had issues with adhesive? I have had reactions to the adhesive steri-strips used for my c-sections and breast cancer biopsies. I can’t find any liners with just a minimal bit of adhesive.

The only brand I can use is Carefree (I can even use the scented). I'm allergic to everything else.

Yes! Never use scented stuff near your vag

This happened to me while I was pregnant. I switched to Organyc brand from Amazon (100% cotton). The Honest company liners are also good.

Party in my pants sells awesome cloth liners. I used to wear Always and they were so itchy. Cloth is so much better!

I had been a Carefree woman for over 20 years until I suddenly noticed unpleasant skin rashes down there.
I went to my gyn and she said pantiliners increasingly contain chemicals, perfumes, nowadays even colors, and when manufacturers change them new ingredients can irritate a sensible bikini area .
She recommended Always because she is sure that this brand unlike others is still doing permanently very extensively tests. She herself wears them and so I switched from my pink to the purple liners.
I quickly got rid of the rashes and thanks to Always now I feel fresh and super comfy in my panties again. Just try them out!

A lot of contact allergies build up. So you can use the same detergent or lipstick or pantiliner or bandaid for years and have no symptoms until you do, then you just have to stop using the offending product.

That happened to me with always Infiniti pads. Switched to Kotex. I have no issues with carefree liners tho.

Just had that happen to me when I started using Tide with Febreeze laundry pods. I don't know why it never occurred to me that we're not meant to have Febreeze on our vulvas. Glad you figured it out, OP!

I'll be reporting it to Carefree, as well as the FDA. If I hadn't figured it out last-night, I most likely would have have landed in an ER room today.

Definitely report it to Carefree (which is ultimately owned by Johnson & Johnson). Don't bother reporting it to the FDA. They do not regulate panty liners.

There are also reuseable cloth pantiliners that you can just throw in the laundry with your clothes, or disposable ones. If you get organic cotton or similar, you can minimize your exposure to anything that might irritate (bleach, etc.).

Stop wearing them immediately. I buy the 365 brand from WF, as well as Seventh Generation.
