Successful with suppositories.

I was on PIO shots for up to 12 weeks. And every 3rd night I would add in an estrogen shot. It wasn't bad at all...I would numb the area for about 3-5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing. I prepared the shots, iced up, and then my husband would stick me. I made sure I had my nurse draw the circles on my upper butt area and I was good to go. The only thing is, it's definitely a commitment. We would have to schedule our plans around the shots. My butt was a little sore but it eventually goes away. I just couldn't do the suppositories 3x a day it seemed overwhelming and messy and I would have freaked out over the spotting, ext. With the shots it was one time at night and I was done. My nurse gave me statistics of "(about 3-4% higher clinical pregnancy rate than with all vaginal suppositories)." It's not a huge significance it really depends on what works for you.

Yup, it's about 10 weeks - imagine doing shots all that time! But after the first month or so, I dropped to twice a day instead of 3xs

Yes, my RE thought the shots helped with getting the lining right for the transfer, but was ok switching to suppositories after bfp.

I did the shots for 12 weeks in 2 pregnancies. No big deal. The area was a little sore, but not hugely painful. Would do them again if we were going to have another kid.

The cycle I did both I got my bpf. I actually liked doing both although they both cause some irritation after awhile.
