Not true, I don't. Neither does my dad. You don't need a floor to ceiling wall unit for a TV, there are small TV stands out there that will work just fine.

I guess I am in the tiny minority that I like entertainment centers in my living area.
I like to display books, knick knacks + use it to store video games/equipment.

If you cannot get anyone off the Internet to buy it, consider asking The Salvation Army or Goodwill to pick it up from your driveway or curb. Even Habitat for Humanity may pick it up though they might charge you.

Just make sure it is in good condition.
I.e., no parts missing, not too many cosmetic blemishes, etc.

Some of us still like armoires to hide all that crap.

But the entertainment center concept is beyond hideous.

God, yea, this. The people looking for free stuff are the ones most likely to give you grief about everything too. "Hmm, not sure if this is the right color. Let's talk about it for 45 minutes after which I'll tell you I can't load it myself and need you to do it for me." Some strange folks trolling for freebees on there.

One tip about Craigslist: Don't offer it for free even if you don't want money for it. Offer it for $25 and you will instantly reduce the number of no-show flakes and weirdos who respond.
