I know a brilliant, good-looking, athletic, funny one, so I may be biased. Also, Travis sounds very country to me (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my style).

I really dislike both these names. Sorry. And Travis would wear either a rat tail or a mullet in my mind.

Agree that Travis sounds redneck, but your family makes the kid! Choose what you love. I'd go Jonas tho.

If I had to pick, I'd go with Jonas, but OP if you are leaning toward Travis, go with that! It's your kid, and I know a really awesome Travis who is a great dad, great friend, and a truly gifted doctor. And not redneck at all.

Travis is fine, I happen to love long O sounds though so I am voting for Jonas.

OP here. Well, this thread IS actually helpful to me--I was voting for Travis, but thought it could possibly be too country. But I loooooved Old Yeller, so I thought that could be biasing me.

This changes my response. If you love Travis ( and your husband/partner agree) than you should use Travis. Congratulations!

I like Jonas better as well. My initial reaction to Travis is it sounds kind of kind of hick.
