No. I'll take egalitarian leaning matriarchy, please.
Males are generally horrible. Let the moms run the world.

But you have to live with , systems , inventions ,energy sources , political systems , medicine and procedures , agricultural systems, beauty products , alcoholic beverages ... Only invented by women.

In a world without monogamy, most women slept with multiple men (this is why men's privates are shaped as they are- I wont go into it because it would turn it into explicit but you can google this if curious) and whoever had the "fittest" gene would be the one that successfully implanted and had the child.
Also, many men didn't get sex at all- it was really the top guys sleeping with most of the women.
Anyway, this meant that about 80% of women reproduced and only about 40% of men. You can see why they wanted to implement marriage.
I for one am thrilled that the marriage system is coming to an end and fully intend to have a child on my own. Patriarchy is finally starting to be dismantled and it's about damn time!

Actually, hunter gatherer societies- which is what humans were for hundreds of thousands of years, before the rise of agriculture 12,000 years ago- tend to have monogamous marriage and were very egalitarian. In modern hunter gatherer tribes women are seen as equals, can own land and resources, have positions of leadership, and can choose their mates. Although they have monogamous marriages, both men and women are permitted to have sex with other people.
If there's any conclusion to be drawn from looking at human sexual and marriage behavior, it's that there is quite a bit of plasticity and variability, and no rules set in stone. Some people want monogamy and some don't; both are normal sexual behavior. The problem is when people lie and deceive their partners. If you want to have sex with other people, let your partner know so they can decide if they want to continue the relationship.
Personally I love being monogamous. Sex with my DH is absolutely delicious and far better than anything I had when I could sleep with whoever I wanted.
