Yes. The festival on Sunday doesn't go that late. And they have good, free performers (Meghan Trainor for one.) It isn't like he will be getting home very late, and there's nothing untoward taking place there.

We took our 4yo to the parade, we took her last year and the year before too. We are gay and its a lot of fun and she loves parades. If she wants to go with friends at 16 I would let her.

If I'm reading this correctly, he wants to attend the street festival with performances on Sunday, right? It will be totally fine as long as he is comfortable navigating in and out of the city (and if you are comfortable with that). There are a ton of families there, and the booths are mostly businesses, churches, volunteer organizations, etc. I will be there with my wife and our 3 year old, as will many other families.

Absolutely not. Why in the world would they even want to?

The two other kids were not allowed to go (apparently studying and some logistical issue) so the problem went away. DH is taking DS on a bike ride instead.
