With the reasonable man standard as our guide, if Obama did in fact become president by committing perjury (a felony) and in violation of Article II Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution, then he was never legally president. I've held three professional positions, everyone requiring a certified copy of my birth certificate and college transcripts. If Obama knew there was legitimate concern about his place of birth, he could have extinguished that concern by immediately releasing a certified copy of his birth certificate and his college transcripts. Why would you suppose he hasn't?

This is factually incorrect. According to James Madison, a natural born citizen is a person who is born on US soil. Hence, Ted Cruz was ineligible to become president. Had he been nominated, you could bet the farm that a couple months before the election, Hillary would have filed a lawsuit alleging Cruz's ineligibility to hold office of president consistent with Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution.

If Obama's mother's status made him a US citizen at birth, why has he hidden his place of birth? Obama knew that his birth outside of American soil precluded his holding office of president.
