OP, did you read the article? I don't think you did, because you very seriously misinterpreted it. The Canadian Supreme Court didn't "legalize" bestiality. Far from it. See the post quoted above.

It was not legalized. Bestiality was defined. You need a definition in order to prosecute. If something doesn't meet the legal definition, you can't prosecute. That might mean that the legal definition has to change, and that's up to the legislature not the courts, right?

It's despicable. Some animals are real victims of this. Truly. I have a vet in the family and it's a serious, legitimate concern for animals. Sad.
