Ask the sitter, but I pay my 24 year old sitter $14/hour in cash and she is perfectly happy with that. Two kids is easier than 1 and definitely does not merit more.

Thanks for all the responses. This is in western Fairfax. We would need about an hour after school and possibly date nights. Based on the responses, I'm thinking $12/hour. I'll also ask if the sitter has a rate in mind.

We pay teens $10 an hour for babysitting our 4 kids - although the kids are usually asleep.

When I hire teens for them to help run a 2 hr bday party, I pay $30 for the party bc its a lot more work.
