Not exactly a lively neighborhood, but Wildwood Kitchen is really nice for a date night.

You can bid on Food and Wine Co.'s stuff, they are going through an online auction right now. Never liked it but the auction is kind of cool. Lots of decent choices, assume you chose well and had a nice date night.

If you look up why you'll see that the owners said they closed because the space is going to be the metro stop for the purple line.

Also, like Raku----was there tonight

Food Wine & Co (assume that's what you were referring to) closed last week. Disappointing.

OP I've been to the new Kapnos Kouzina twice already and it's fun and great food.

Food & Wine left open table and is listed as closed on Yelp. Their website is still up, but the voicemail says you can book reservations on open table: http://foodwineandco.com

It's really too bad if they did close.

Agree--this is the best option.

+2 -- with the low lighting it's great for a date night. Just make sure to get a reservation for a private table because they have a big communal table that is fine for some occasions, but not a date night.
