"The best is yet to come" post is so true. I honestly feel like my divorce has given me a second chance at life. I do not feel washed up and I have not had any issues whatsoever meeting men.

I just read "Crazy Time" by Abigail Trafford. Great book that touches on all the post-divorce junk you have to go through.
I am also old, with kids, and often feel like I'm totally washed up and lost. But then I have bright days, when I feel like I have my shit somewhat together. So, two steps forward, one step back. FWIW, 17 yr marriage, sep 2 yrs.

Subject: How did you "find yourself" after your divorce?
I also divorced in my 20's with no kids. I'm not really into the bar scene so I found an apartment I really loved and felt like a sanctuary. I really found solace in simple things like reading a book on my balcony, listening to jazz music, and not having the TV on. I didn't have cable or wi-Fi. I took my dog for long walks and went running a lot. It was kind of learning to love time with myself, enjoying the quiet (ex husband always had to have the TV blaring), and doing whatever made me happy. I became friends with my new neighbors. I found a great guy about 7 months after my separation and I'm still with him over 2 years later. You'll find who you are without forcing it. It's kind of fun, re-discovering yourself.
