Are you someone in the business? My designer who has seen countless bathroom says be prepared for staining, yes, even if sealed. In the shower is the worst because you can get orange stains from deposits in the stone - especially with cheaper marble.
The quality of the stain is what matters, not the marble. The quality of the marble matters for scratching and chipping. I have all marble countertops throughout my kitchen and laundry. I will be putting in my bath as well.
