I live in a major city and all libraries are closed on Sunday's. I don't understand why this would still be the case. One major purpose of the library is for children- why keep it shut on the one day many people are available to actually go? FWIW, I don't even have kids, I just think this policy doesn't help the people the library is meant to serve.

So, all of you people advocating for not shopping at malls, are you also advocating for greater social services, SNAP, section 8 etc for when the malls close and all those people are left without jobs?

If you are going to use shoes as your argument, I was raised to try shoes on, walk around an aisle or two to ensure they are comfortable and they fit well, before buying. Certain things in life should not be bought online.

OP you are completely right! It's so frustrating. I don't understand the other posters, either, not everyone goes to church on Sundays or at all. And it's not like the same exact employees work all the hours, so you can be open on Sunday morning and still accommodate Sunday churchgoers. It's either laws or cost-benefit analysis.

I think because of church services. And really no one wants to work on Sunday mornings even the DCUM "poors" working retail.

Your lack of planning does not make it an emergency for the stores.

Don't go to malls. Ugh! As far as why they open "so late" on Sundays, have you been to Europe? Stores are just plain CLOSED on Sundays there.

You have 24/7 shopping in your home, I presume?

The relentless need to shop, shop, shop at all times is just so perverted.
