Oh a spelling mistake. Big fucking deal.

LOL, right? Enjoy my three boxes of size 2 diapers, sucker.

To the PP who suggested having stuff shipped to work, many companies to not allow this. Where I work in DC if you do you get a label on your letter or package reminding you about the no personal items delivered to the office rule. I used to get it on my junk mail all the time. Like I am really going to contract random companies and ask them to mail the junk mail to my home instead, especially as the companies got my address through conferences or other work event.
BTW I am pretty sure amazon still has locker service, so if you are concerned your package might be stolen have it shipped to a locker and pick it up from there.
If married send it to your spouse's office then. I've never heard of this policy. Have it held at UPS. There are other options.
Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's not common. I work at a law firm that has a policy of no personal shipments to the office. My spouse doesn't work in an office, so there's no "spouse's office" to send stuff to.

Deliveries like this were certainly not imagined with big city life in mind. In Paris, there are NO unattended boxes. The system doesn't work like that because they would be stolen within minutes. Either it fits into your tiny mailbox, or you're at home/ in your office to sign for your package, or it's left at the post office/specified safe location and you have X days to pick it up.
Don't know how it works in NYC.
I love living in the American suburbs!
