Sure. High school friend who transitioned long after I knew him, colleague at work who transitioned openly at work a while ago, and a family friend's child. But if you had asked me two years ago I would have said no, because none of those people were "out" until recently. They are all much happier people now.

I am quite sure that no one in my small circle of friends and friendly acquaintances is not transgendered. I used to greet a cross-dressing father at my kid's old school, but I didn't even know his name, don't count him as a person I *know*, and he wasn't transgendered. He was a male in long skirts.

I'm not aware of anyone, but that just means I don't know any vocal trans people or someone that I knew through the transition. It is highly likely that I know someone who has transitioned, but I'm not aware because why would you talk about it on a casual basis?

I know two that are adults and have been trans since their late teens. You wouldn't know they were trans walking past them on the street and that's the point. WHY DO YOU CARE if they are trans?

I worked with one when I was in grad school--and only realized it when I saw the feet pointing the wrong way in the ladies' room stall.

One of my friends on the west coast has a FB friend with a transgender child and I see her posts occasionally when my friend comments or likes them.

Sure. Dad of one of my kid's preschool friends. Nice dad, nice kid. It's been a while but I seem to remember that he was pretty good at Angry Birds.

I dated a transgender man over a decade ago. Other than that, not to my knowledge.

Three -- two MTF, one FTM.

One MTF headed an organization devoted to transrights that was located in the same building as my company years ago. She was a lovely person working very hard to assure that transpeople could simply live their lives in peace. I respect her deeply, because I can't imagine what she's gone through.

Personally, no, but there is a trans woman I see at work sometimes. Actually, I've only seen her in the womens' bathroom. And amazingly, I am alive to tell the tale!
