I looked into it long ago but it seemed like a joke with a bunch of 22 yo twits who try to find dates for themselves.
The $1000+ subscription made no sense, it is far for a real match-making service. Everyone working there seemed like a dumb@$$ so I left after the initial chat and just worked my friends' networks.

I meant the workers there were 22 yo twits.
They run the high commission sales model there so absolutely relentless sales pitching.

That's fascinating -- why did they call you?

OP here: Why is is bad for women?

I'm the PP: A good friend of mine tried it. They could barely come up with enough matches. None of the dates matched the basic specifications my friend made. The men were much older and did not have great jobs (which is the whole point of the site). She later met a guy on a regular dating site and they're still together (he's a chef).

THey do a really hard sale up front and want to get credit card info out of you quickly. I get the feeling it is a big scam. If it was really a matchmaking service then what is the rush?

It felt seedy, like an escort service or something. Ick. I can't believe they are still in business.

My boss met his wife this way (like 15 years ago). So there's one happy story.

None of the so-called matches was even close to what she was looking for. They guaranteed so many matches in a 24 month period and had trouble delivering. She had to kind of harass them to send her matches. (BTW, she no raving beauty or anything, but a solid 7. She was late 30s at the time, master's degree, European, decent job....)

Yeah, no. Expensive dating services are for rich men and very attractive young women.

I can't imagine that many truly eligible men would be on there. Eligible, successful men run the dating world. They don't need to pay a service to set them up.

Sort of like the ads on porn sites that advertise hot, young women just waiting around for no-strings sex. No sane person believes that either.

No clue, was asking how they got my contact info but she would/didn't say

Maybe a friend/acquaintance is using it and gave them your info (to get a discount?)

I know two men that used the service and did not like it. I also met one guy (on an online date) who claimed that he goes out on dates for them a lot (he's not a paid member). If they can't match these guys, there isn't much hope for it.

I always assumed it would be full of eligible women, but only a few guys. One guy said that they set him up with a married woman who had no intention of getting divorced. Waste of money.
