In your position, I would be joining waiting lists all over town, you might get lucky. Also, the fall sessions for outside tennis clinics just started at the various neighborhood pools so those would be another avenue to explore. Some don't require membership and have groups for intermediate/advanced kids. You'd just have to look around to see what's available in doable locations. Here's one example of what I'm thinking of:

Not that PP but you'd have to call and ask but my DD was on the waiting list for privates for multiple years and never got a recurring slot, just got to fill in for cancelations on two occasions. I suspect if she was more advanced they would have found something for her but there's just too much demand.

We switched to Burke Racquet within the past 2 years and up until this year, privates were much easier to schedule. This year the demand for classes and private lessons has exploded and they're maxed out also.
