Ada is lovely. Aidah is made up, and sounds like an offshoot of Aiden, Cayden, etc. In other words, the opposite of elegant and classy. Teen mom-ish.

This is what My first thought too! OP: read the book if you haven't (and the bible story). It's a great character, but the name makes a statement. Very strong woman. Also, kill the cutesy younique spelling. The traditional spelling is the classical, elegant one. And don't set your child up for a lifetime of spelling her name everytime she says it.

Ada is the right thing to do.

Ada is a fine name, classic in its own way and I like it. It reminds me of Mae or that sort of name - sturdy, pretty, classic.

Not a fan of Aidah at all, it seems like a mistake or an effort to be kreeaytyve or foreign (which would be fine if it were actually foreign, but if people ask if it's foreign and it's not, much less cool).

I'd go with the "real" spelling of the actual name if you like it.
