I waitlisted, and by the time a spot opened up, my maternity leave was over. So I missed out.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I did PACE for my first and really enjoyed it. We're still in touch as a pp mentioned so don't plan on doing it for #2. However I have also met a number of other mom friends during these 2 years at story time, swim club, daycare, and in our neighborhood while out on walks. I even made a number of mom friends right here on the "expecting" board back when I was pregnant with #1. A number of us with similar due dates decided to meet up while pregnant. They were the ones who told me about PACE. While I don't think doing PACE for #2 would hurt (heck it will at least get you out of the house) also try to get out and about and introduce yourself to people you meet with babies. It's probably one of the easiest times in one's life to make new friends. Congrats on #2.
It sounds like you're a SAHM. This is much more difficult for a WOHM, unfortunately

Nope. Only in one area for the second timers.
This. It's in Chevy Chase and the women in my group we're from NW DC and MD. It was worth it as I was going through very different things with #2. You cannot bring your toddler to the group. It's just for babies and you. It's not easy to make friends when you have a newborn. PACE is not for neurotic women as one PP put it. It is a group of women who have babies around the same age. It saved me. It makes me get out of the house and be sociable.

Anonymous wrote:I did pace for both my kids and still friend switch both groups. Kay is the leader for the pace 2 group in Chevy chase and is wonderful. I would do it if you can.
