It really depends on the specific table and chair that you are looking at. There are different lines at each of the these companies.

It is like saying should I buy a Honda or a Hyundai without discussing the specific models.

... and we purchased a solid wood table- the brand is Copeland. We LOVE it

Basset furniture is in much better shape than my less than 5 year old Pottery Barn items.

Hands down Bassett Furniture. I grew up in a household where I saw firsthand how it withstood time as per quality and classic design. Ethan Allen sleek deign looks but quality is not as good for the investment. As per Pottery Barn, I wouldn’t include in the category, as the quality cannot compare to Bassett products, not to mention the customer service. I schedule my purchases at Basset to be on Presidents Day, Memorial and Labor Day weekend sales. I call my designer of choice and they take care of it for me. 🥰 it combines with some Arhaus accent pieces to give it a nice touch.

I'll add another voice to the suggestion to says to look at used stuff. I've found quality for all of these brands (and most others) has only been declining in recent years. I don't think any of it is worth the price you pay for new. Unless you want to get something new and custom made (which will be more expensive) it makes more sense to buy used. Dining tables, especially, seem to be abundant in the resale market because it needs to fit a specific space and need so they get switched out when people move or family sizes changes.

I purchased a coffee table and two end tables, all EA. From this from wagging tails thrift. The two end tables look like they had never been used and I got them $50 apiece

Ethan Allen last forever. PB doesn't look good after a year.
