Landon does not accept many ADHD kids, a few borderline who can thrive with minimal support.

O Lord no. They don't believe in any of the alphabet conditions. There's not even a school nurse to administer meds. It's lord of the flies there. Do not send any kid with any alphabet diagnosis there, That would be cruel.

Is that right? I'm totally surprised to hear this.

No, they don't. The success rate depends on the level of ADHD. Low for serious issues and high for minor and manageable things. What was the diagnosis?

The big question is whether the school is a good fit for your child personally. All ADHD kids are not the same. I have an ADHD daughter who is never ever a problem at school. The teachers love her. Nobody would know she has ADHD unless we volunteered the info. As long as she takes her medication, the only support she needs in the classroom is extra time.

The school knows your daughter has adhd. It's ridiculous that parents think they're pulling one on the school. Please be open and honest with your children's teachers. Zero shame in adhd

100% agree. The more information you share with the school, the better the school can support your child. Hiding info only sets a child up for failure.

To add, you are an irresponsible parent if you are not up front with the school on any prescribed medication your child is taking during the course of the school day. God forbid the child has an emergency and the school must relay pertinent health info to EMS including medications used.

My ADHD son wasn't accepted to Norwood. I got a feeling it wouldn't have been a good fit.
