I hear you on not wanting to get adversarial, but think of it this way: the higher ups should know this nurse screwed up. It's up to you if you want to give this nurse another chance, but you should not be paying for a cycle THEY screwed up. I have some issues with my nurse (mainly her crappy bedside manner), but it's never interfered with my treatment so I let it go. In your case, it DID interfere.

If you are comfortable listing who your doctor is, I bet someone here can tell you if they recommend any of his or her nurses.

And how do I know who a better nurse will be? I thought she seemed good, right up until this...

Yea it was in an email. And I wrote her back to explain what happened but at the time I didn't ask for anything. I'm now in the TWW. Who would you tell? The doctor? A financial planner? My insurance covers half of it so I guess it'll be a couple hundred dollars? I haven't gotten the bill yet. Plus the copay. I don't want to get into an adversarial relationship with my doctor or this nurse. Not sure if I should just leave the practice now. Switching seems like a royal pain.... But where can I go where the ball won't get dropped like this?

Yep, I left SG after a year there and no success. Went to GW, where they tested and monitored me, and decided to treat my borderline hypothyroidism before any ART was begun. Got pregnant on my own, but I believe it was the dr at GW deciding to treat my hypothyroidism that got me there (which SG diagnosed me as hypothyroid but said it was not important to treat as I was borderline). I left SG because after only 1 IVF I got the DE speech. I left and never looked back. I believe SG is good if you fit in a certain box. If not, they're a factory and don't treat you as an individual, at least in my case.
