Me too! This gives me time for my hobbies. And I know he is right there, at home, watching the game. I'm in the other room, or sometimes the same room, working on my "projects."

I guess we are both kind of homebodies. But when I do want to go out for book club or a movie with friends, if it's a game night, I know he will be home to watch the kids.

OP, this is who he is and how he likes to spend his time. When you've been married for years and he's taking you for granted it will be worse. You need to either be ok with it, or move on.

I can't imagine not being with someone who doesn't love sports. My boyfriend loves almost every sport and is very knowledgeable. He's smart and passionate. I too love sports and I went to a D1 college. Its one of our common interests.

Me neither, but this seems to be common. DH watches stuff once in a while, but he is far less obsessed with sports than most men I know. I think I lucked out. I dated guys and were friends with women who were into sports big time. Meh. Boooooring.

I am a 52 yo guy. I like sports. I like watching the competition where you don't know the outcomes. It is exciting.

Growing up, I was about Football and Basketball. Now, I have cooled on basketball, except for the NCAA tournament. Baseball/softball has grown on me after I coached my DD's softball team, as have soccer.

Football is waining for me...I will watch it if I am home, but frankly the concussion issues have turned me off, that and Dan Snyder.

However, I am obsessed with my baseball team. And they are looking good this spring.

I will probably watch 140 of the 162 games, either live or on TV.

OP, I love college basketball. March madness is my one thing. Otherwise I am on it, dinner every night, laundry, daycare pick up and drop off, homework, you name it-I do it. But just give me March. My wife understands. If you don't you might want to find someone else.
