If there were only 40 siblings, there should be a lot more initial pk3/pk4 slots. 6 classes of 30 right now (a third of which are K age). This would mean 80 or so no-sibling spots.
There are 6 classes with 9 or 10 kids in preK 3. That would mean 60 spots AT MOST. If you subtract the 40 siblings, that means only 20 or so spots. Not sure what is questionable at all. Pk4 spots would only be those that open up because people moved or left the school. I believe they open up a few PK4 spots every year too, but not sure. I only know of one family who moved to Maryland for work.

Except that a lot of the pk3 kids who are there now will move up to pk4, so there will only be a few new pk4s admitted to compensate for attrition. Your figure of 80 assumes that all pk4 would come in new. In reality if there are 40 siblings there would be around 30 new spots, unless they open up a new class.

It could go all summer.
But I would imagine that you would see the most possible movement in April/May -- once the Common Lottery results are out.
Families that get into LAMB and also a top pick in Common Lottery could decline LAMB and they'd go to wait list. A couple families now at LAMB could get into another school and leave, opening up an unexpected space.

Nope, they go down the list and look for the most "Hispanic-sounding" names and make sure they are admitted.
Sorry, couldn't resist, too many battles over LAMB's past practices in this forum. They have a waitlist and go down it in order as required to by the law.

Last year, the list of results didn't say anything about how many spots there were per class. It just had all the names in order (I think they're doing initials and birth dates this year), and if you got a call you were in.
