Why not? If OP's husband doesn't have any income right now, wouldn't he be able to bring with him half of their joint bank accounts? And they are both jointly responsible for debt incurred during marriage as I understand it.


Divorce and maintaining two households are both very expensive. In my house for example we don't have an extra bedroom. We could not take in a housemate if all the sudden we had only one earner.

Sounds like you both have gotten petty and unhealthy for each other. Counseling or move out.

I'm not the PP, but OP, think about this.

This fight is symbolic of the state your relationship is in. Later, it will be the sort of thing that YOU look back on and laugh at, because it will demonstrate just how far gone you both are: fixating on one dirty dish, and dramatically turning that dish into the breaking point. He needs to get a job. You should probably be in marital counseling. Maybe later this can be something that you look back on TOGETHER and laugh about.
