I don't see where it's illogical. The truth is we have absolutely no idea about the origin of existence, order , time , science, math, or matter. It is all just faith .

thus, a story about a 1st century Jewish itinerant preacher being the savior of mankind is just as likely the American Indian's "great spirit" being god as it is that gravity keeps us rooted to the earth and 2+2=4. It's all just faith. Whatever you have faith in is OK as long as you have faith in something.

The Trinity thing is hard to follow, especially for those of us that take the 1st Commandment very seriously (I count myself in that bunch).

It doesn't matter. Accepting Christ as your savior applies to all Christians.

Except the OP seems to think that God sent Jesus to Earth as a very special example of how to live, and then Jesus lied to everyone, and claimed he was God.

So, we are supposed to believe that . . . ? We're all supposed to lie? We're all supposed to claim to be the only begotten son of God?

Or we're supposed to believe that God is a bad judge of character and didn't realize that Jesus was a lying liar who lies?

Either Jesus was sent from God, and what he said about himself was true, or he was some guy who might have had some good ideas but was also pretty deluded. I can live with either of those ideas.

Jesus said he was God. He doesn't leave the option of being a wise man. He was either is God or a loonatic.

NP-- I bet it's because he believes in one God. No "Trinity" complications. That's probably why so many above (and the OP himself) thought "Unitarian" of some sort. I'm Unitarian myself and although the OP would be certainly welcome at our church, I would think that Islam may be a better fit.
