Just kidding -- you'll find the sugar white beaches anywhere between Pensacola and Panama City (and even on down to Cape San Blas and St. George's Island). Where to go depends on what you want -- Pensacola is more of a city, Destin is high rise condos, and St. George's Island is very, very quiet. All kinds of places in between, as well, including planned communities like Seaside, and Rosemary Beach and some funky old Florida fishing villages.

Actually, the sugar white beaches start in Alabama--Orange Beach, Gulf Shore, Perdido are all beautiful, as well. Pensacola is a nice little city--but the beach is not city at all. There is nine miles of National Seashore there which is untouched. Navarre is also beautiful.

Rosemary Beach is big with the Atlanta crowd.

Op, do the jellyfish ever worry you while swimming? My husband got stung once and it is something he always worried about.

Don't tell! It's already too crowded!
