Fixed that for you.

I know the difference and I meant WHINE, WHINE, WHINE.

PP was trying, and succeeding, at being funny. You, on the other hand, are insufferable.

Lord, just use disposable plates/spoons etc. Soak the pans/pots till the next morning. Tell her you are too tired to prep and she needs to do that part during the day when you are at work.

One last fix!

Compromise and help with chopping, etc. while you sip your wine, but leave the pots and pans until the morning or next night. I get where you're coming from. Sometimes the food is just not worth the mess, and an easy meal with little clean-up is just the ticket.

Just tell her no. This shouldn't be hard in a loving mother-daughter relationship. If she is going to bitch, pout, whine, moan, then don't invite her again for awhile until she learns how not to be a pain in the ass.

Can't you say "mom, I don't feel well and can't help with dinner. Do you want to go with what you had planned or should I get carry out?"
