Just finished the book. I wasn't a fan. But anyway, you can drink on the MetroNorth trains and LIRR. It's kind of strange - some of the MetroNorth platforms have mini bars (one guy and a table full of alcohol for sale to take with you). At Penn Station (the LIRR), many of the shops and pizza places sell alcohol to go.

I agree. Although, lots of people are preferring Outlander show to the book. They didn't take the liberty of making Jamie American though.

I'm really disappointed that this film will be set in boring New York. It was so charmingly British, I just don't think it translate well--plus, Emily is British!

Why do they always have to mess up book adaptations?

Yes, part of the filming took place in Dobbs Ferry, near my hometown! The metro north station there has been used on other film sets; it's right on the Hudson so it's scenic.

I think I actually looked it up after watching because it was so beautiful and picturesque.
