This is seriously impressive. What sorts of things are you eating if you don't mind me asking? Do you look for sales, etc.?

We have similarly aged kids and probably spend double that. We eat healthy but don't go crazy with 100% organic or anything like that.

I agree, is that a lot of ramen and rice a roni in there?

I definitely shop sales with a big extra freezer in the basement that is always stocked so I never really pay full price. I use coupons but don't obsess..most weeks I save a few dollars. I have never served rice a roni or ramen though we do have pasta once a week (kids favorite). Non perishables are also stock piled on sale. I serve vegetables and fresh fruit fruit with dinner and fruit in kids lunches daily. No soda or bottled water. Few organics. I don't know. We don't really have a budget. We could afford more but that is what we spend. Around 100 at Giant every week plus about once a month or two a stock up trip to TJ or Sams.

That's high for us. We stick to $150 groceries and $100 eating out/coffees/etc. that's all meals for 2 adults and 5 yo and 2 yo (2 yo has lunch provided at daycare).

It's normal for us. Also a family of four.

For the people spending $125, what are you cooking and eating? I have a hard time imagining one could eat lots of healthy, fresh foods on that budget without repeating a lot of the same stuff.

$150 week for groceries, probably $100 a week on lunches and ordering in perhaps once a week. Almost never go out to a restaurant.

Three adults?

Yes, we have an au pair.
