I'm thinking of switching everything over to a credit card, currently use our bank card/bank account for everything.

Yes you can. We do and get 2% back from Citi.

Dominion Power in VA allows for this (I have done it).

$4,000 - $5,000 usually; pay in full

Hhi about $300 - 2 kids. We put everything we can on it generally.

We aren't in the DC area now so our power is Dominion. I looked and it doesn't seem like you can without a fee of $1.65. Or is there some way to do it through the CC company, sort of like sending a payment from a checking account?

Yeah, dominon and wash gas do not, have to use checking direct. But cell phone, internet/cable, etc can all go on there. In fact, you get double points with ATT if you do auto pay with amex.

About $2,500. We use it instead of cash. Also use it for some bills, though not all.

$3k. We out everything but mortgage and a couple bills on there (no childcare yet).
I try hard to keep it under $3 and we have good months where it is right at $2k. We do a bunch of diy house stuff so that adds up.

Same here.

Pretty much describes me though my cell phone and cable bills do go on my card.
To the pp who said the people posting that they pay off every month are not representative, I have to agree. Not doubting that those (we) who say we pay off are lying, just that we aren't that representative of the typical situation. I have several friends with HHI even higher than mine -- in excess of $250k a year -- and carry balances with high interest rates. It stuns me.

Another $4-5K pay-off-in-full family here. I'm wondering about everyone's HHI, now, if we're all similar.
