This. I wonder why this is the case. Also Ross also seems like a sweet little school. And rooting for LT.
Overall, though, I'm glad there are starting to be several viable options EOTP.
Shepherd is not an easy school to get to for much of the city. It is 2 blocks off of 16th St but the general city population who is considering it is a much narrower band.

Shepherd is more diverse economically because it still has a decent number of slots for OOB kids, especially in upper grades (same as Lafayette and Murch used had a few years ago). That is gradually changing in the ECE years so I expect the FARMS numbers to decrease in the coming years too.

Nope. In fact, I'd choose Shepherd #1 due to feeder to Deal and Wilson as well as IB. With Ross and Hill schools you still have to worry about middle and a lot of kids will leave after 4th for charter.

SWS is not charter, but is city wide and located eotp and most families have stayed -- next year they will have completed their expansion to 5th grade and it doesn't look like many will take the gamble of Eliot Hine.
