I would see if people who say this ever really listen to NPR? They had an interview with Pat McCrory a couple of weeks ago that was really well done.
Still don't agree with the guy at all, but they gave him a chance to speak intelligently and he and the interviewer were cordial and fair.
NPR is always very fair and broad, but people like their beliefs, no matter how wrong they are.
