Tell the company you will wear their uniform when they order it in women's clothing. Remind them that you are not a man. If you get alterations, to the men's shirt to make it fit a woman's body, bill the company.

Can you imagine if the order the company shirt in a woman's fit style and asked the men to wear it?

Nothing you can do about the large polo.

Just make sure everything else is on point and tailored.

All of the above and embrace the ugly. Sorry, OP.

Find a nice cardigan that is fitted and shapely, i.e., no long boyfriend cardigan, something like a twin set cardigan top.

Wear that over the polo shirt, which you do your own "cheap woman's" alteration on by pulling the excess side fabric to the back and pinning it with a large safety pin to make a waist. (I didn't describe that well but I hope you get what i mean)
Tuck your polo shirt into a nice pair of neutral pants that are flare or neutral leg (skinny pants only if you are actually skinny) and a nice pair of low heels.
Wear your hair up/back in a soft chignon or low bun (or other classy simple style to get it off the collar) and some pearls, diamonds or other studs.
Trust me, this is the formula to get you through this. My condolences

This sounds nice. I would pay for real alterations though. I would shorten the length and the sleeves, take it in, and add darts. I wouldn't tuck it in, but I would wear a cardigan over it.

Take a picture of it so I can see and give better ideas. Hide the company logo though

Also, just about anything looks fashionable on you if you weigh 95 lbs.

OP, what is your age and position with the company? Is the conference casual or "business casual"?

This and the scrunchie tie wins it.

Please... no chunky jewelry or scarf. My god.

Chunky jewelry, good hair and yes to getting it tailored. Pair it with nice jeans and boots/flats. It won't be your cutest outfit, but it'll be fine.
