Seems hard to lean in that far if recovering from a C section.

I felt the same way but bought one anyway. it looks quite nice at home. Maybe you can find some google images for actual reference? I got the white Ikea Hensvik crib

For those that have the Hemnes... which size? 8 drawer or the smaller one?

Same here, and it's worked well. I also love that it easily converted to a toddler bed.

For the changing pad attachment - did you get that at Ikea too? Or somewhere else?

Amazon. I think it's summer infant or something like that. It's just a pad with concave sides. It has a buckle for the baby and the strap has another piece you can attach to the back of the dresser with a screw. Then we got little covers for the pad, sort of like fitted sheets.

Really like my stokke sleepi. Don't have the matching dresser though.

IKEA Gulliver crib, PB Catalina dresser (the small one). The dresser is great, it's the perfect size for my now 3 year old's clothes and the perfect height for me (I'm 5'3"). I am so glad I didn't get one from IKEA, they were all too tall for me.

I have the mood and love it. Got it on Amazon, arrived in 3 days. Super easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I also like our Pali crib and dresser. About to pass it to #2.

We got Pali. The crib is fine -- held up well, all that jazz. What I was really impressed with was the dresser. The drawers glide so smoothly! I still am impressed with it now, 4 years later.

We used the babyletto modo for our first. Liked the simple lines and accessibility from all sides. Had lower rails than most other models which was great for me as I am on the shorter side. However, that meant our son was able to climb out a lot sooner (at almost 2 years of age) . Converted to a toddler bed for him until baby #2 arrives this summer.
