In this price range, I would think townhouse will give you more search options. Quite a few townhones in Burke under $350k

Prince William County.

A lot of people live in townhouses in that price range. The townhouse communities often have nice amenities and have at least 3 bedrooms.

It's also convenient to stores, backs up to a church, and have over a half an acre to allow for expansion. They're building a new home across the street, so this street will likely get a lot of tear downs in the future.

Not in Arlington, regardless of school quality. Not possible in that price range.

OP, trust us when we say that the first thing you need to consider is where you'll be working each day.

I get a total of 8 houses in that price range in all of Fairfax when I plug your criteria into the long and foster website with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Zero houses come up in Arlington. They don't post all the listings in the county, but I doubt there are a lot more. Slim pickings.

That was some random voting type website, not a site that used things like test scores.

This is what those in poorly zoned areas say here on dcum.

Actually, most people moving in from out of area or out of state use great schools as a reference point to help them narrow down their school choices.

This is the truth.

Wait, are you OP or a DP? Because no one who's done any research expects to get a SFH with decent schools for that price in Arlington.

You better check yourself! You can't get a sfh in Arlington zoned for a "bad" school at that budget. You need at least 500k for a sfh in the worst part of Arlington.

Do not move here with that budget. That's slum level.
