I'm from cape cod and stumbled upon the site many times while a first time mom and googling parenting stuff. Then I realized how great the forums are for just about any question I have. I'm constantly searching different topics for advice/recommendations. I feel like the opinions here are usually close to my own so I can trust what I find. It also helped to replace going on Facebook. I do love the drama and fighting too! So funny!

People finding us as a result of Google searches is a big factor, but another big one is folks who were active on the website and then moved someplace else. Very often, they continue using the site and also tell their new friends about us.

And check in while on vacation or traveling for work.

*Raises hand*. If only a long distance move could cure a DCUM addiction. I don't even want to contemplate the number of hours spent on this site.

My sister moved to Denver and still reads and posts regularly. When I went to visit her, her moms group was all talking about "this new anonymous website"

That would mean 60% are from metro areas not listed.

My guess is a lot of people land here searching for something in Google.
