I just moved here too and am wondering why there isn't an active community listserv or yahoo group? I've getting the Wood Acres emails once a day the past couple of days, but barely any activity and it seems moderated. Would love to hear from others about road conditions, teenagers to shovel, etc.

I'm the poster you quoted and I completely agree! I was thinking it would be great to start one. I'm sure the interest is there.

Be careful what you wish for. I'm in sumner and we have a very active listserv which is mostly helpful but sometimes is petty.

Should be but Country Glen...

You also may want to look at Bedfordshire. The houses are less expensive than Country Place and there is a pool club in the neighborhood - but it isn't that nice so a lot of people belong to Country Glen bc it is very close (next to the elementary school - Wayside).

If you live in a pool house, you're the help, and you caddy on the weekends.

I know. I was surprised to read this. I walk the dog on the paths in Avenel during the daytime and it is deserted. And I know their pool goes looking for members because most people have their own.

Avenel hits nothing on this list except having a pool and the age diversification. Other than that, it is a very unfriendly neighborhood.

I assume that's a joke?? Nothing under $1 million and not exactly a relaxed game night kind of neighborhood.
