OP was asking specifically about the age difference. You infer too much.

Yup...I have 4 sisters who are 10,12,18, and 20 years younger than me. They are half sisters but it's not a complication. We just intro each other as sisters. We all get along very well and I am so glad to have them in my life. If my parents had stayed together I would have been an only child and that thought just makes me sad.

My sister is 16 years older than I am. We have nothing in common. She's a moocher and lazy.
I haven't spoken to her in 3 years.

I'm close to my half-sister who is 9 years older. That developed more as I entered adulthood. Our father was an abusive asshole so as soon as she could stop visitation, she did. But, she stayed in contact with our paternal grandmother and we re-established connection when I was in college. I don't see her a whole lot because she lives several states away but she and her DH always send things for the kids and we visit every 3 years or so.

I have two younger half brothers, 13 and 14 years younger than I am. I'm very close with the younger one, not so much the older one, but that's more personality than age.

Due to a lot of family dysfunction, I had pretty much raised them until I moved out of the house before 18, but always did things with them after I did (taking them out to the mall, camping with them, etc.) Unfortunately, when I was around 22 I had to cut out all family entirely and missed a lot of the years I wish I'd been there for. When they became adults, they sought me out and we were able to move forward from there. I'll always have their backs and they have mine. They're pretty awesome.

I get along with my olderst brother (12 years older) best I suspect because we never faught as kids because he moved out when I was 8.

The only issue we had was he tried to parent me a few times, and when I was 25 he acted like I was 15... Giving me a curfew when we were on vacation.

I'm sorry to hear that. I couldn't imagine not being close to siblings.
