And how many schools are covered in that pool? Unless you can cite data that comes from a survey of one of the organizations that area independent schools belong to, this is anecdotal. Stating it as fact just creates a misperception that most teachers are receiving perks that they are not.

My child is at my school (one of my benefits is discounted tuition). I am overall happier. I can teach without the politics and nonsense that came with my DCPS job.
One school uses the spouse's salary (not their employee's salary) to calculate FA.
