Shit happens. I'm an OW, he's currently going through a divorce. They should have never been married. They've were in therapy after 6 months of marriage, and stayed in therapy 3/4ths of the marriage.

I was married to a cheater and I kicked him out. He found refuge with the OW and is still with her. I don't envy what they have at all. Who the hell wants to be with a known cheater?

I was an OW. He left his wife (no kids) 3 months into our affair, and was divorced 9 months after we first met (he lived in a state requiring a 6-month wait for divorce). We've now been married 9 years and have two kids. Couldn't be happier. It was never planned this way - he doesn't even consider it an affair, just that he married the wrong person the first time.

I logically really do understand the hatred directed at the OW (or OM), but damn, folks, the one you really should be mad at is your husband (or wife). I mean, really, really mad at him/her. Because they are the one messing with you. It isn't the OW. She may not be the best person in the world, but she didn't marry you, and promise to be yours and yours alone.

Sorry your husband is out with OW and not enjoying this lovely evening being cozy with you on the couch. But, the vitriol you are spewing makes me not so surprised about that little turn of events.

I wonder how it must feel for some wives to know their husbands are no longer in love with them, and if it weren't for the kids (or the whole philosophy of "it's cheaper to keep her") he'd leave you. And once he gets rid of one OW, there is another one around the corner. I hope you're having your own affairs and you at least acknowledge the arrangement you're in.
