I like mine, but I do clean them regularly.

We have the glossy white laminate kind (from Ikea). They are super easy to clean. I like the way they look -- very bright.

But, the laminate will peel over time, especially in high-moisture areas near the sink. We bought some extra cabinet doors to swap in.

What about chipping? We have baked on enamel (expensive), and it's chipped in high use areas. Very hard for touch up paint to duplicate look of the professional application. Wish we had solid wood with stain instead.

I had white cabinets in my previous house and I miss them! They made the kitchen look so cheerful. I like my current (stained) cabinets but I love the look of a white kitchen, and would probably do that again if I came into money.

I am sorely tempted to try Magic Eraser on my white cabinets but I am afraid of damaging the finish. Nothing really works for some spots, not cleanser/polish, straight up polish, Murphy's oil soap, etc.

It's a trick, you get crapy paint grade wood and pay more. same with hardiplank preference over brick. the building industry certainly fooled us all.

I'm a total slob in the kitchen and I love my white cabinets. I use Murphy Oil Soap pre-moistened cloths (like baby wipes) for quick cleaning.
