+1. My legal name is Sally Jones Smith. But if that wasn't the case, I would not put my maiden name on my resume. Where maiden name was relevant I might put "Publication Title (writing as Sally Jones)", but depending on the field even that might not be necessary. If you are listing published articles and someone bothers to look one up and see that the author is Sally Jones, they will figure it's you and you changed your name.
This might be a situation where LinkedIn is actually useful, too, to link your current name to your job history online.
Alternatively, I know people who go by Sally Jones at work and Sally Smith socially / at school.
