NP here. Pray, what is the real Potomac? I can walk to downtown Bethesda in 5 minutes from my house, and do not love Potomac, where you have to get in your car for every single errand.
You can walk to downtown Bethesda from Rockville in 5min. You lady are a bad ass

Churchill won't meet the same needs that e.g. Blair does.

Preferred both Rockville (older areas) and Bethesda to Potomac. Why in the world would you think there is only one desirable place for everyone to live?

Speculation. Maybe they did add a seat for a child who tested in the requisite range.
If there was a specific score cut off that got you a seat but there is not

Yes. OP, chances are extremely small (like practically non-existent, regrettably) that your child will be able to get in to the MS magnet, since at best your child would get on the waiting list and that barely moves. You can't enter the magnet after 6th grade, so your best bet is to bide your time and apply to the HS magnets. Not saying not to pursue TPMS or Clemente, but just realize that it is most likely not going to work out.
Not true. My child was admitted the summer before sixth grade, when we moved here from out of state. To the program and not the wait list.
