OP here. I was thinking of that thread when I posted.

For the record, there was one outlet in this vicinity. I selfishly took a seat next to the outlet, and plugged my computer in. About 20 minutes into my time, she came in, and asked if it was ok to share. Then she started crawling between my legs. I stepped back and gave her access to the plug. She said thank you. I said your welcome. Clearly that indicated she wanted me ;. But, I am a loser, and went back to work, but thought about the irony, and decided to post about it here, thinking of the earlier thread.

Did you hope that the consensus of the thread you started would be more positive (i.e. yes, she wants you, go get her). Cuz the consensus of the old thread seemed to be, "leave us alone you self-centered dork, women alone in public have more important things to do than pay attention to you" and, "if I refuse you, I know you're going to treat me like a bitch, so I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't." <sigh>

No...just that the young woman sat next to me....rather than me sitting next to her.

Yeah OP I don't know that you'll generate too much excitement with this thread. As you saw in the other one, it's mainly going to be women who are sick of men treating any woman in the vicinity like fair game, and men telling women that they should just appreciate the attention while it lasts, and women sick of being told what they should and shouldn't appreciate, and...and...and...

You made the right choice. You're definitely not a loser for not hitting on a woman who probably does not want to be hit on.

I have a philosophy in life.. "compliment a complete stranger and expect nothing in return"

You should say something nice to her, just because.

Go get another coffee, as you get up offer to get her something as well. If she accepts, try a light chat. If she accepts the coffee-muffin but cold shoulders your chat attempt, spill your coffee "accidentally" over her tablet, laptop, iphone whatever she is charging. Hopefully, now she is upset so be very irritating and try to argue with her so she looses her cool and assaults you.

Try a very small amount of #1, a healthy dose of #2 and large amounts of #3.
